WELLINGTON RACES. Per Press Association, The Spring Meeting of the Wellington Racing Club is bping continued in dull and windy weather. The attendance is fairly large. Results:— Hack Steeples, of 200 sovs, Similes, Happy Jack (9.9 1, Rerekoba (0,7) 2, Silver Monarch (9.10) 3. Scratched: The, Hound. Kauwairoa fell at /lie first fence and had to he destroyed. Critic and Ruatangata also went down. Won by twelve lengths, with twenty lengths between second and third. Time 5.48. Tararua Handicap, of 200 sovs, one mile.—Rose Pink (8.1) 1, Sir Agnes (8.9) 2, Devotion (7.10) 3. Scratched: Miss Doval, Golden Grafton. Won by a length, a short head between second and third horses. Pearce Handicap, of 400 sovs, one mile.— Fiery Cross (7.10) 1, .Marsinah (6.7) 2, Heeltap (7.4) 3. Scratched: Miss Deval. Won by a length and a--1 '.lf, a length between second and third horses.
