Even the German messages, via Switzerland, admit the desperate nature of the Roumanian resistance in the passes south of Brasso. i A Vienna telegram states that great Russo-Roumanian forces have arrived on all the Balkan fronts. Generals von Falkenhayn and von, Mackensen have suspended opera-) tions awaiting reinforcements from other fronts and Turkey.
