I 1 AN IMPORTANT CAPTURE. ALPINIS IN THE MOUNTAINS. Press Association —Copyright, Australian and X.Z. Cable Association. Rome, October 19. Semi-official: The Capture of tlie redoubt on the so-called Tooth of Pasubio deprives the enemy of one of his most important strongholds. The tooth consists of a sheer cliff, with a flat top, whereon the redoubt, bristling with machine-guns, protected a series of flanking redoubts. The Alpini, on the 9th, climbed the tooth with ropes and ladders, and gained a precarious footing on the cliff edge. They remained there several days, despite the lire of the machine-guns. The Italian artillery yesterday destructively shelled the redoubt, and the infantry escaladed the rocks and occupied the trenches. They repelled counter-attacks and are now consolidating the tooth.
