Delegates discussed the memorandum expressing the Now Zealand Association’s desire for separation from Australian control, but finality was not reached. Mr J. J. Virgo, general secretary, stated that if the present progress was continued the Commonwealth and New Zealand-might lead the world in Y.M.C.A. enterprises. The report of the New Zealand executive showed that the Association had cleared themselves of debt. i lie ground on which New Zealand is seeking separation is that the distance from Australia is too great to allow of the Associations being united in the real sense of the word.
