A correspondent at Dublin states it is rumored that Sir Edward Carson and Mr Redmond are negotiating for a political compromise in order to help recruiting. Unfortunately, it is unlikely that any compromise can help, because the Sinn Feiners will not enlist at any price. Farmers' sons are more anxious to evade service than to obtain Home Rule. It is not believed voluntarism will produce the 40,000 needed before Christmas. I i;
