A Press Association telegram from Wellington states that further claims dealt with by the War Pensions Board lqst week bring the total number of pensions granted to 121 'l, of an annual value of £206,650, the average per pension being £49.
A Press Association telegram from Palmerston North states that the reserved judgment was given by Magistrate Poynton in the case against Charles Dahl, for a breach of the war regulations in writing a letter to Denmark with the intention of procuring the importation of goods otherwise than in pursuance of a license for such importation. His Worship said there was no intentional breach of the law, and he inflicted a hue of £o and costs.
Mr C. J. Parr, M.P., New Zealand, and nine Australian members of the Parliamentary touring party, returned by the Makura to-day (reports the Press Association). Starting in July last, they have completed almost a world tour of British territory in British ships. They were conducted over the ammunition works in England, and visted the naval bases and witnessed the Fleet's operations. They had an important conference with British Cabinet Ministers, visited the fighting front held by their respective troops. The New Zealand members of the party got into the front line trenches, where things' were temporarily quiet. The Australians saw their soldiers just after they had been in action and conversed with the wounded. Some of the party had a trip in a biplane, and others ascended in observation balloons.
