Le Petit Parisien says: We are apparently on the eve of a great battle on the Struma. The British are in contact with the Bulgarians on a seventeen mile Front between Jeninah ai -1 Seres. The British patrols have liready reconnoitered the enemy's positions. London, October L 5.
The British on the Struma are in contact with the 'enemy at Seres, Savjak, Baraldi, Dzuma, and on the Jenima front.

Mr Calvert, war correspondent, writing from Ostrovo, states tliat from the Bth to the 10th the Serbs ceaselessly harassed the retreating enemy. Meanwhile the second, army steadily increased its pressure upon the Moglena mountain positions, which are still in enemy hands. On the 9th and 10th the first and second armies again progressed against the enemy's third line, the last on the Cerna river, capturing 800. It is stated that the enemy at Monastir is commanded by the German General von Winskler, and that' he has again received reinforcements.
