STRATFORD DOMAIN.

[To Thb Editor Stratford I’ost.l • Sir, —I gather /from reports that the Borough Council want a part of the Domain for a receptacle ior metal.' It is most sincerely to he hoped the Domain Board- will have backbone enough to refuse to part .with a single inch of the land under their control. Should they do so they will commit a scandalous breach of trust. A few years ago it was proposed to take a piece of the Park for the Hospital. This was fortunately, turned down. Now a part of the land set apart, by those who laid out the town, for a beauty spot is to be turned into a beauty spot by having metal dumped upon it. No: no. The Borough Council has ■ reserves dotted all over the Borough. Surely one of these can be made available—nay, must be made available—but for the Domain to be beautified by heaps of broken metal is asking too much. It must not be permitted. I am, etc. HI. WIESON.
