Prjss Association— Copyright, Austra-
lian and N.Z. Cable Association. Amsterdam, October 13
Herr Haase, a Socialist, in tho Reichstag, declared that the people were tumbling over a precipice in millions. They were looking to the Socialists for a gleam of peace, The sufferings were growing to inhuman proportions. .Nowhere was there hope. "Wo must," he said, "save, the people from the worst. Our dreams of world dominion will never be realised."
Herr Schiedam, a Socialist, declared the nation wanted pence. It was tired of being lured to destruction by new and brilliant promises. The Germans should be willing to evacuate France and Belgium. Peace must be based on the principle of the French, the Belgians and the Germans retaining their respective t?rritcries.
