Mr Myers (Acting-Minis-ter of Finance) states that the total ordinary revenue for the six mentis ended September 30, amounted to £6,349,627 against £5,456,500 for the corresponding six months of the preseeding year the difference in fovour of the current year being £893,121, which is ascribed partly to additional taxation and partly to the buoyancy of revenue due to the continuance of commercial and industrial prosperity. The expenditure consolidated fund for six months was £6,256,903 against £5, 930,419 for the corresponding six 1 months of the previous year, being an increase of £318,484, which is a( " i counted for wholly by the war bonus I and increased payments for interest 'and sinking fund. The excess of revenue over expenditure for the first half-year amounted to £92,724.
