MANAWATU SHOW.
Our Palmerston North correspondent advises that preparations for the big semi-national Show are now veil forward, and entries are coming in fast, indicating excellent prospects for a most successful function., A new departure and one with a most useful object in view is the undertaking of the catering by the patriotic women workers of the Palmerston North district. It is hoped that a , very substantial sum will b 0 realised for our Sick and Wounded Toys from this effort. The grounds and buildings are in splendid order for the reception of the many valuable exhibits which will occupy them next month. A great boon to cattle exhibitors is the handsome pavilion brought into service £for the first time last year. Dog fanciers are looking forward to ae good exhibition, there being many enquiries from quarters i 'ot hitherto ■represented. Entries close for competitions and all divisions of live stock on Saturday, 14th instant, after which late fees will be charged up to 23rd instant. Intending exhibitors who have not had a prize schedule should immediately writ© to the Secretary, W. T. Penny, box 80, Talmerston North.
