Assistant Director of Education, Wellington, write informing the Board the Department had decided to, increase the cost of maintenance of in-, mates of industrial schools to ids pci; week.—Received. 1 Assistant Inspector Charitable Aid Board, Wellington, wrote that he would endeavour to find another district nurse for Whangamomona in place .of Nurse McLachlan.—Received. The Inspector-General wrote stating that any infantile paralysis cases in this district could be sent to the Wanganui Hospital, where arrangements had been • made- to Meal with them.

Gray, Health Inspector, reported that during the month five samples of butter were weighed and wore found in full weight. The various fruit shops had been inspected, and one nuisance abated. One drainage and plumbing nuisance reported in connection with an infectious case had been abated. The district nurse at Whangamomona reported that during the month she had attended nine cases, two of which were still under treatment. The Matron reported that when the nex't draw-sheeting is obtained, that instead of buying in small quantities, that a larger quantity he purchased.—Resolved*that quotations tie obtained. ; The Gardener reported that the garden and grounds were in. fail' order, and that he, with the assistance of a man had dug the isolation hospital ground, lie had plaiitej potatoes, and had sown seeds in the ' kitchen garden. Damage had hern done to the lawn by motor cars being driven ton near the edges, and more consideration should he shown by drivers. —The report was received, tlie Chairman being authorised to' deal with the matters referred to by the gardener.
