Senator Pearce announced that employers who employed eligibles without certificates would not be piosecuted. 1 At the annual meeting of the Red sum of £306,000 was collected for the Cross to May 3, it was stated that the sick and wounded soldiers fund, of this £270,000 was in hand. The disbursements for the year amounted to £127,000. It is expected that the Society will now have to expend £15,000 to £20,000 monthly.
