A German communique states that strong French 'attacks at Sailly, on the Rancourt road and at St, PierreYaast Wood failed, and the English at Mouquet Farm were again repelled. Tlie Russians west of Luck were defeated and the Germans maintained all ground. Thousands of Russian dead wore left. Roumanians also failed in the south-west of Gorgenj Valley. The Roumanians who crossed the Danube hastily fled between Prespa Lake and Nizeplianina. The Germans then withdrew to new positions. The enemy maintains himself on the left bank of the Struma, north-west of Tohiuos Lake.
