Air pilots Frederick Sowrey and Alfred Brandon have been awarded Distiguished Service Orders for gallantry in attacking Zeppelins. On the twenty-third of September, after a spirited chase had a ding-dong battle with the enemy. Sowrey and Brandon manoeuvred for position, and Sowrey had the better luck. His shots struck the Zeppelin which fell ablaze, Brandon stood by m case of emergency, and the latter attacked a raidiV which surrendered.
