FIERCE FIGHTING CONTINUES.
RUSSIANS MAKE PROGRESS.

A Russian communique states: Our fire drove back dense columns of Germans who were attempting to ad yance beyond their entanglement' eastward of Novo Alexandrovitz. We frustrated a midnight attack on the Krinks-Ostashin sector. There lias been stubborn fighting at Zaturey, Volasadovskai and Shelvou. Wo captured some positions against strong resistance. Stubborn battles continue on the Zlotalipa. Our iire stopped a counter-attack on the river Ceniuvka. The enemy brought up reserves, which suffered severely. Fierce fight ing is proceeding.
The prisoners taken in this region on Monday number 1000, making the total in three battles hero since the 30th of over 5000, of whom GOO are Germans.
