Cable Association. j (Received 10.55 a.m.) i London, October 2. 1 Sir Charles Johnston, a former Lord Mayor, has drawn the attention of the Home Office to the fact that Schumacher, who is an un naturalised German, and his partner, Broekker (naturalised) are allowed to carry on business as silk merchants in the city. The Board of Trade declare they have no power to wind np the business under the Trading Enemy Act. The fact that an enemy firm was doing business under protection of Board of Trade has raised angry protests.
The Daily Mail declares there are many similar cases.
