STRATFORD JERSEY BREEDERS.

MEETING OF THE ASSOCIATION. The annual meeting of the Stratford Jersey Breeders Association was held this afternoon, when there were present: Messrs E. J. Kirk wood (chairman), F. Ranford, B. Petersen, ,7. Shotter, J. 18. Clemow, W. Miers, J. Gadsby, W. Pollock, A.- H. Hugget, W. Yickers, E. O'Salliva'n. The balance-sheet showing a balance in hand of £1 on, was adopted. hi order to provide more funds, it was decided to increase the annual subscription to 7s 6d, and that the >;• for herd book search be 2s 6d for ron-membcrs, members being free. PRESIDENT AND VICE. For the election of presTtsent, there were two nominations. Messrs B. Petersen and F. Ranford, and on a ballot being taken, Mr B. Petersen was elected, Mr F. Ranford was elseted vice-president. Mr Peteresen then took the chair, and thanked members for the honou confer red on ham. It was decided that the meetings ir future be held on the first Saturday m every second month at 1.30 p.m., instead of every three months. This change, it was thought, would be tin means of sustaining greater iuteres. in tho association. It was resolved that Messrs H. B Lepper and T. C. Uoodson, the laranaki representatives on the Council, be invited to attend the next meeting. Air Kirkwood suggested that it be a lecommendation to the Stratford A. and P. Association that there be both junior and senior classes in pedigree Jerseys at their annual show. It was decided that the secretary Keep a register of pedigree stock for sale, and that those who have such stock pay tor the advertising. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to the retiring president (Mr Kirkwood) for his services during t' past two years, and in acknowledgiu * the same, Mr Kirkwood said li? \<ould still endeavour to promote tb' interests of the Association in every way.
