The Daily Chronicle’s Athens, correspondent states that M. A cnizelos has arrived at Salonika with his supporters, including Admiral Coudourietes, and places himself at the head Pf the National movement. Athens was unaware of M. Vcnizelos’ dramatic step.

M. Venizelos has gone to Crete, and will visit MitylenSj Chios and Samos. He will issue a proclamation to the Cretans, placing himself at the head of the National movement, to provide a last opportunity for the Crown and Government to place themselves in line with the majority of the Greek people.

There is no declaration of dethronement of King Constantine. M. Venizelos will call a general mobilisation of Cretans for the purpose of national defence.
