The Rev. Shields, rector for St. James, Sydney, lias been appointed Bishop of Armidale.

At the Stratford School yesterday afternoon, Lieutenant Gray was presented with a pocket book and cigarette holder by Q.M.S. Stephenson on behalf of the N.C.O.’s of 112 Company, Stratford Distinct High School Senior Cadets, as a token of the esteem in which he was held by them. Lieutenant Gray briefly thanked the cadets for the presents and good wishes, and introduced Ser-geant-Major Mahoney.
