The following letter has been received by the Hiniroa Ladies’ Sowing Guild, of which Mrs Martin is the lion, sdc: “Salvation Army Girls’ Home, ‘The Grange,’ Clifton Road, Horne Bay, Auckland, 1-9-16. To the Secretary, Hu iron Sowing Guild, Stratford. Dear Madam.—We are in receipt of your parcel of new garments sent to Brigadier Carmichael (the boys’ articles arc being sent to the Russell Home), I would like to say how very sincerely we thank each lady concerned, for this help. I cannot toll yon bow much these garments mean to ns. We have been glad to take tbonr all into immediate Avoar. Many many thanks. Already onr number lias reached 22 j there is snob opportunity in tliis Avork. The beginning is not the easiest. It is so kind of you to remember onr need thus.
