The Wanganui Jockey Club's meeting was opened to-day in beautiful weather, and before a large attendance. The track is in good order. Results: — Flying Handicap, 200 sovs, 0 furlongs.—Chakwana (8.6) 1, Mia Cava (8.0) 2, Panmure (9.5) 3. All started. Won by half a length, with a length and a half between the second and third horses. Time 1.11 4-5. Maiden Race, of 130 sovs, six fuv> longs.—Wrestler (7.7) 1, Carmel .Arch (8.2) 2, Wapping (7,7) 3. Scratched: Madam Ristori, Rio and Splendant. Won easily by two lengths, with three lengths between . second and third horses. Time-1.14 2-5. Wanganui Guineas, of 500 sovs, 1 mi|e.—Bjorneborg (8.5) 1, Sweet Tipperary (5.5) 2, Llatiou (8.10) 3. Scratched': Wrestler. Won by a length, a length and a half between second and third horses. Time 1.14 4-5. Okehe Hurdles, of2oo sovs. about lj iles.—Vladian (9.6) 1, Marton 10.3) 2, Styrax (11.7) 3.
