Ferguson, Paliiautna. C. J. Bennetts, Stratford. Roy Anderson, Stratford. D.'j. O'Sullivan, Cardiff. F. J. O'Connor., Stratford. W. R. Payton, Stratford. Geo. A. King, Stratford. F. D. Braraald, Wliangamomona. S. E. Chapman, Tariki. H. Kemp, "Waitara. W. Nicol, Waipuku. And another. Of the above, nine were passed as medically (fit for active service. WELLINGTON PROVINCE SOLDIERS' XMAS GIFT FUND.
An appeal is being made to country people for gifts of poultry, produce, flowers, sweets, etc., and bints dressed or undressed, or alive, will be gratefully received by the Wellington Provionce Soldiers' Xmas Gift Fund. All consignments will be carried free by ince Soldiers' Xmas Gift Fund. All (iift Fund' care of Townsend and Paul, Auction Mart, Wellington," and will be sold by them on day of arrival, the whole proceeds going to the fund. City people are subscribing by direct appeal; every business and factory has received lists which are brought under the notice of the staffs employed. It is hoped by the joint efforts of town and country to raise a sum sufficient to ensure a substantial and suitable Xmas parcel being sent to every man from the Wellington District now at the front.
