A message from Roumanian headquarters states that the Roumanians arc. falling back in the Dobrudja, taking strong positions at Rasova, Ten miles south of Tchornayoda, where there is the only bridge, across the Danube, and at Tuzla, twelve miles south of Constau/.a. A Roumanian official communique states: We continued our advance on the northern and north-western fronts. Three towns were occupied. Branshill is in our possession after frequently changing hands. Mr Brauncl, writing on September 17, states that the Roumanians continue to advance in Transylvania, and are breaking the Austro-German resistance. They occupied Fogovas, taking 800 prisoners.

Renter's Odessa correspondent states that a Servian division in the early fighting in the Dobrudja repulsed 18 attacks of Germans and Bulgarians round Bayona, including German cavalry who tried to make to the Servian rear. The Daily Mail's Amsterdam correspondent ' states that the Vossiehe Zeitung alleged that a German division east of Silistria drove back the Roumanians on to the Russians, and simultaneously the Rulgo-Gernmns outflanked the Russo-Roumanian right, driving in the Servians.
