The fighting was fierce, and although the enemy penetrated parts of the first line trenches, we are maintaining our ground here and there. The first assault must be regarded as a failure. Wo repelled attacks westward of Oinm-Deoval-Alaggiore and the Fleims valley, taking prisoners. A communique admits that a slight enemy gain at Carso sector. The Alpini captureod a point d’apui westward of the summit of Canriol.
