Trooper Cuf% who left New Zealand with the 7th Reinforcements, was well-known in the Stratford district as an athlete. Two of the late Trooper Cuff's brothers, Messrs A. F. Cuff and S. J. The guest of the evening was presented by the Kaponga Patriotic Society with a wristlet watch, and by tlie residents with a pair of military gloves. The Rev. 0. M. Stent, who made the presentation, spoke of the esteem in which Corporal Grace and his parents were held. In thanking the donors, the recipient said that while doing his duty on the other side he would always remember his many friends at Kaponga. A quiet wedding was solemnised at the Presbyterian Church yesterday afternoon 'when Miss E. Brayshaw, third daughter of Mr J. W. Brayshaw formerly of Stratford, was married to Mr W. Sullivan, of Whakatane. The officiating minister was the Rev. J. Dawson C. Madill. The bride, who was attended by Miss E. O'Tooie, wore a navy blue tailored costume and a navy and cream hat. Mr W. Besley acted as best man. The bridesmaid wore a charming grey pinafore dress with crepe de chene top. The happy couple left for Auckland en route to their future home by the boat last evening.
