'Mr Jeffries states that the announcement that the Allies are only acting against the Germans and pro-Gei-mans has tranqudised the fears of the people. Mr Jeffries is increasingly of the opinion that Greece is shortly joining the Allies, the opposition party being at its last gasp. Complete mobilisation is doubtful, and probably the small force that has been organised will gradually bo strengthened. Should Bulgaria separately make peace, the Greek military preparations will be continued against Turkey. It is reported from Macedonia that the 6th Division and other Greek forces have obtained freedom of movement and are concentrating <.t Seres and Kavalla.
The 33nlgar offensive appears to have collapsed. The Greek, forces at Vodena and Parissa decided to resist tne Bulgais In any case a similar feeling is irresistibly spreading over the whole country.
