WOUNDED AND INVALIDED ON THE ARAVVA. Peb Press Association. Auckland, September 1. The Arawa, with returned wounded and invalided soldiers, arrived at (J. 30 on Sunday afternoon. The returned men were accorded an enthusiastic reception as they proceeded from the steamer to a largo shed on the wharf, when they Mere formally welcomed by the Minister of Defence (Hon. J. Allen) and tlie Mayor. Major Henderson acknowledged the cordial welcome, and said that their only regret was that. they had not seen the finish of hostilities, but the men looked forward to returning for that purpose. The invalided men living in the ' south departed by the noon express to-day. I The voyage had a beneficial effect upon the health of all the returned soldiers, who, with one 'exception, wetse" able to walk off the Arawa with-, out assistance. \
