Cable Association. (Received 11.45 a.m.) London, August 30. General Haig reports: "We are experiencing bad weather. In a minor night enterprise we frustrated attempts at Guillemont and raided trendies at Neuville and St. Yaast. A German communique states: The enemy at night attacked Ovillers and Pozieres. Between Guillemont and Maurepas, south of the Somme, we prepared a storming attack, but were held down in the trenches. We repulsed the English north of Ovillers and Pozieres.
