NEV/ ZEALAND MEAT. Per Press Association. Palmerston North, August 28. Messrs Mellsop, Eliott and Co., local agents for Gilbert Anderson, have received a cable from Anderson, London, as follows: “Present unsatisfactory position in the meat trade has been caused by the absence, ol New Zealand supplies. New Zealand prices are fixed hy the Board ol Trade, while the prices of foreign shipments of meat are not controlled. American salciuen arc drawing further supplies of New Zealand meat to enable them to maintain the disparity in prices.”
