The Railwaymen’s- demonstration at tH-yde' Park Was a protest against the increased cost; of living. ‘ Speakers from five platforms vigorously denounced the .piratical methods of the capitalists.. The keynote of the workers’? attitude was no-industrial truce unless, there is to. be fail; pla> towards the workers. Resolutions were carried; that trades, union circles do not! share • the'belief that there will be an- early - pe'ace,. and that there is a growing conviction that in view of the present, output of .material and munitions’, and- also-, the preparations for eventualities, tfip -end is not yet in sight. .
