ANNUAL SCRIPTURE EXAMINATIONS. The results of the -.Scripture examination annually organised by the i Auckland' Sunday School Union' are now available. Thirteen hundred and; sixty-two candidates drawn from the. Auckland, Taranaki and Hawke's Bay provinces sat for examination. Teachers were examined in "The Ait and Principles of Teaching:" - . 'i'hc examination of scholars was based upon the 1 international lessons iVu April, May and June,, .The secrjon covers a portion of the story of , the beginnings of,the Christian Church as recorded in, chapters 9 to 16' of the. Acts of the Apostles. Candidates iccoiving the three highest numbers of marks in-.eaclr grade are 1 (awarded' honors prizes. Those securing 85 per cent, of marks, also receive", .prizes. Honors certificates, are granted for, 70 to- 8-1 marks, first-class,certificates. Ifor 55 to 69 marks, and second class cert-hcatcs. for 40 to 54 marks.
