BULGARIAN OFFENSIVE. ■ .j ALONG WHOLE SERVIAN FRONT. REPORTS OF THE OPERATIONS. CREEKS WITHDRAW AT BULCARS’ REQUEST. Press Association—Copyright. Mr Ward Price, writing on the 18th, says: The Bulgarians yesterday commenced an offensive on the whole Servian front of the Moglen sector. Six battalions furiously attacked with the object of recapturing the positions lost in July, but they were everywhere repulsed with enormous losses, except at Fiorina, where they were only Servian outposts. They occupied a town and station south of Demirhissar, and patrols crossed the Struma and exchanged shots with our cavalry. At Lissa and Starchista, the Bulgars ordered the Creeks to withdraw from defending, and the gunners obeyed, the Bulgars then occupying both. Meanwhile, British infantry attacked the hill commanding Dolziere, and drove our the enemy, and consolidated the position, BULGARS RETURN TO THE ATTACK. FRENCH TROOPS’ SUCCESS. SERBS REPULSE ENEMY. (Received 11.10 a.m.) Press Association—Copyright, Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. Salonika, August 20. The Bulgars returned to'the attack and drove the French out of Doldzeli. The French were reinforced, and reattached with vigor, and recaptured tho village. Fierce local fighting continues at Doldzeli, which, several times changed hands.. Six Bulgur battalions attacked the Maglenika Valley, hut tho Sorbs repulsed them.

The condition of the Greeks on tin Black Sea coast is deplorable. '1 he Turks, owing to the Russian advance, are clearing out the inhabitants from the villages and sending them to the interior to concentration camps atoot and almost foodless. The Turks en route rob these pitiful caravans o every possession, and the children are taken to the villages and converted

(Received 9.55 a.m.) , Paris, August 20. Bulgar patrols are pushing in the direction of Kavalla. The enemy occupied the Greek torts of Lise ami Starcisla, in the region of Struma. Our fire held up Bulgar attacks westward of Struma. The English repulsed Bulgar attacks at Dodzeii. Cannonade is proceeding on tfm west bank of the Vardar, notably at Majadag, and there is fighting south of Monastir. The Serbian advance guards arc engaging the Bulgars o ' the outskirts of Banca.
