OUR DIVISION IN FRANCE. Dunedin, August 16. The Hon. James Allen stated that New Zealand has a full division in tiie field, numbering over 20,000 men, who occupy tiie Ypres salient. They were formerly under the command of General Birdwood but General Godley, commander of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, is now commanding the Anzac Army Corps, including the New Zealanders and portion of the Australians and New Zealand Division under the command of General Sir A. H. Russell. General Birdwood has taken over a new command.
