LITHE aGovo Company has been -*- formed with tlie object of smelting Taranki Iron Sand, of which there is an unlimited supply, by a newly discovered simple process, at a cost of less than £3 per ton (inclusive of administration and depreciation of 10 per cent, being allowed). The Company has secured all the present leases and have patented their process, and will in four months’ time be turning out 70 tons of pig iron of the highest quality per week, and three months after 200 tons per week. The present price of pig iron is £lO 10s; the nominal price from £4 15s to £5 15s per ton. The whole world is short of pig iron, and prices are not likely to come down for some considerable period.
