La Roumanian Salonika correspondent represents means whereby the Entente can pulverise Germanism in the Balkans. Not only will an Entente victory he certain, he says, but progress will he swift. The Salonika offensive should be the last, and it will stimulate Roumania, which is destined to liberate the peninsula, and forces us not to delay the liberation of Transylvania.
FRENCH OFFENSIVE.
OPERATIONS COMMENCED IN SERVIA. -'ress Association— Copyright, Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received 1Q.30 a.m.) Paris, August 11. The French have started a Balkan offensive. They captured a, railway station in Servia and seized the heights beyond the railway.
