Tho Morning Post's Potrograd correspondent states that the Russians are within eight miles of the main line to Lemborg. which supplies all the enemies north-west of Tarnopol. General Sakharoff threatens the German left flank in the last-named region, and is endeavoring to onvelop them and push them ba^k. FIGHTING ON THE DNEISTER. Potrograd, August 10. A communique states: We crossed to the right bank of the Koropetu river, pushing the enemy, and capturing a series of heights at Whyard, Velesnoux and southward of the Nijniouw-Monasterjiska railway to a bridge across the Dniester. We also advanced westward of Tismienitzy towards Stanislau. THE AUSTRIAN REPORT. London, Augnst 9. An Austrian communique says: We captured the heights eastward of Warcchta, on the Upper Pruth, and withdrew in the vicinity of Ottynia to previously prepared positions. We repulsed strong attacks on General Bothmer's southern wing. The fighting in the Vollhynia district was of the most violent description, the Russians being driven back at certain points. This was also the case near Kisiclin and the Stokhod salient, Siberian and Guard troops are attacking in masses near Kaizowka, but every whore driven back, the whole field fronting our positions being covered with corpses as a result of the enemy's suicidal method* "f furhtiug. RUSSIANB PURSUE THE ENEMY. Tho High Commissioner reports:— London August 10 (8.20 p.m.) The official report from Petrograd states that the Russians in'the region of Tyemienica are pursuing the enemy and continue to advance northward and westward, and have captured the railway junction station at Chryplin.
