The Meat Exporters’ Conference carried a motion to consult the shipping companies on the freight question, as tho frozen meat freights had advanced 86i to 90 per cent, on the pre-war rates.

(Received 10 a.m.) Melbourne, August -0. The military raided certain Socialist newspapers and seized copies .containing articles on Conscription which had not been submitted to the censor.
