A communique states: The battles at Graberka, Sereth, and Soubrody are developing in our favour. We have consolidated our positions on the right bank and captured two more villages, also a hill and a portion of a wood in the vicinity. ! There was fierce fighting in tho villages, which were taken street by street and line by line. Enemy count-er-attacks were repulsed with heavy losses. Wo took 1200 prisoners, and 'others are coming in.

A communique states: Obstinate fighting continues on the banks of the Graberka, and the Sereth all day for possession of the villages and heights. After fierce street-fighting, our, attack wa.s crowned with success, and we captured «ix villages and heights between them. A gallant Cossack regiment attacked the., infantry in the south-west, making prisoners of over three thousand.

Mr Washburn wires from headquarters on the Stokhod : The enemy's losses are. extremely heavy, especially the Austrinns' Three new divisions composed of many elements have arrived, and it is reported that one is from France. Prisoners report that the heavy guns at Kovel are being taken away.
German flyers have inaugurated a compaign which can only be characterised as pure murder. They are daily flying low and pouring machinegun fire into the panic stricken populace. To-day's toll was eleven civilians killed and forty wounded. The latest bombs were filled with fragments of glass, killing women and children. The English hospital suffered severely through this atrocious practice.
