Lust Saturday, our usual weekly sale was I>< Id, when we had a very large attendance of the public. Poultry was in keen demand, and prices realised were very satisfactory indeed. Poultry 2s 6d to 3s 6(1, ducks 2s, Pekin os 9cl, cabbage (small) Is to 2s per dozen, potatoes 17s Od per sack, milk cans 253 to .'3os each, and a quantity oi' furniture and sundries at very satisfactory prices. NEWTQM KING'S WEEKLY REPORT. For my Hay market sale on Saturday last, ! had a full yarding of pigs. Prices ruling were easier for all cLas-1 ses. A clearance was effected at the! following prices:—Weaners from 13sI to .CI 2,s (id, small stores £1 3s ml to] £1 ss, medium stores up to 4'l Pis 6d, j sows £4 to £'l .ss, hoars up to £2 15s, calves from 3s (xl to £l, milk cart horses from £l6 10s to £24, milk cart £l3 10s, milk cans 12s to I'! ss,plough £8 Bs.

HICH COMMISSIONER'S MARKET REPORT. The Department of Agriculture, Industries, and Commerce has received the following cablegram, dated London, July 29, 1916, from the High Commissioner for Xew Zealand:— Butter.—The market has a firmer tone since last report. Danish, salted, per ewe, 171 sto L7B.s; Irish creamery, salted, 160 s to 1625; wusalted, Lo2s to 16Ps; Canadian, salted. 10-ls to 1665: nnsalted, 166 s to 168 : Xew Zealand salted, 168 s to 170 s, -ml up to 1725; nnsalted, 168 s to 170 s; good to fine' quality, salted. 164 s to 1665; Argen-| tine, salted, lo'js to LOSs; nnsalted, 158 s to 160 s. Cheese.—The market is quiet, hut steady. Canadian white, 8S S to 92s per cwt. : colored RBs to 925; English! Cheddar 102 sto )06s; Xe W Zealand, whh. f'ii s to 925; colored, SSs, according lo condition. Due shipment of ehceso has been heated. >
