RECORD FOR WAR LOAN.
Press Association—Copyright. Sydney, August 1. There was a fine rush by war loan applicants, representatives of all classes of the community, who besieged the Commonwealth bank and branches. A special staff are dealing with enormous mails. No estimates as to subscriptions are available, although officials are satified that the investments inscribed for stock and bonds will exceed any previous occasion.
