The Government Statistician's estimate of the autumn*and winter lambing states that the number of ewes in New South Wales was 17,119,000, of which 10,642,000 have been mated. The number of lambs dropped was 7,277.000, the probable marketings being 5,750,000, a prcentage of fiftyfour. The Autumn lambing in many districts was less successful than the winter, many lambs perishing owing to the lack of rain.
