OFFICIAL PROGRESS REPORT. ENEMY ARTILLERY FIRE INCREASES AT LACARINA. ITALIAN SUCCESS ELSEWHERE. The High Commissioner reports: London, July 25 (4.10 p.m.) Tlie Italian official report says: In the Lagarina Valley, the enemy's artillery fire has increased. In theAstico region at daybreak yesterday, we captured Mount Cimono after a fierce night attack. ' On the Asiago Plateau on Sunday night, the enemy made two violent attacks on the trenches we had gained near Cascrazebio, but a Bersaglieri regiment drove thm out with heavy losses, and by a brilliant bayonet attack gained another long entrenchment, taking some prisoners and recapturing a machine gnu. Further north, the Alpine troops renewed their efforts against a steep rock barrier 2000 metres high, between the peaks of Mount Chiesa and Ckmmgiletta under heavy machine gumfffrej Wiey evossed three lines of wire entanglements, and succeeded in establishing themselves just below the crest. , In the Fassa region, notwithstanding bad weather, we have extended our occupation as far as Ceramana Valley.
