SENIOR CADETS.

N.C.O. EXAMINATIONS. An examination of Senior Cadets and Territorials for the N.C.O. rank of sergeant was conducted on Thursday afternoon by Lieutenant Crutch, Area. Officer, New Plymouth. Lieutenant Gray was in attendance. Seventeen lads were examined, and all gained the necessary marks for qualification for the rank of Sergeant. The following attained the full rank of sergeant:—lt. D. Hunter, practical 83 (out of 100), and Henry 131 (200), total 75 (100 per cent); L. Marfell (Toko), 75, 136, total 71}; J. W. Moody (Territorial) 69, 146—71 ; H. Marchant (Territorial) 50, 125-4371; C. H. Stepenson (Territorial) 07, 130 —66; J. Boyd (Territorial) 61, 136 66; J. E. Mayhead (Territorial) 67, 114—62; W. A. Dean (Cadet) 56, 128 —6O; g'. Harkness (Cadet) 52, 136 60; E. Nicholls (Cadet) 62, 116-60; J. Stevenson (Cadet) 72, 90—60. The following qualified for senior cadet sergeant:—W. Macdonald, practical 54, Theory 122, total 57}; W. J. Boyle 56, 110—55} ; A. W. Peterson 02, 96—55; 0. Coleman 56, 110—53; O. Skoglund 53, 96-53; A. W. Tatton 62, 78—50}.
