Season, 1914-15; No. suppliers, 240; lbs milk received, 33,662,9631bs (cream 1)089) ; average test, 3.91 ; lbs butter-fat, 1,331,336; lbs butter, 1,550,748, overrun, 16.9; cost of manufacture, I.OOd.
Season, 1915-16; No. suppliers, 245; lbs milk received, 39,463,5291bs (cream 8955); average test, 3.93; lbs butter-fat 1,551,130, producing 3,172, total 1,554,302; lbs butter 1,913, 329; overrun, 16.6; cost of manufacture. 1.06 d. The working account shows a balance of £20,911 14s 7d. This will bring the average paid for butter-fat for the year to 16.01 d per lb. The quality of the butter has been well maintained, scoring the highest average, grade for the season for factories consigning to Moturoa. On account of the increase in the output, the cost of manufacture per lb of butter is less than last year, notwithstanding the extra depreciation provided for, increased wages and higher cost of all requisites. The retiring directors are Messrs R. Dingle, M. T. Phillips, and Henry Watson, who are eligible for re-election. Mr Phillips does not seek re-election. You will | also be asked to elect a director to till the vacancy caused by the resignation of Mr A. Lehmann. Mr T. H. Penn again offers his services as auditor.
