Obituary: Lord Clifford, of Cliudleigh.—London cablegram. T. Lamason has a large quantity ot furniture and farm sundries from various vendors for Saturday's sale. Intending purchasers would do well to visit the mart and avail themselves of this excellent opportunity. "Wliil© motor cycling along Norfolk Road last evening Mr S. Barker, of the Simplex Milking Machine Company, Stratford, met with a very painfull accident. It is understood Mr Parker struck one of the horses drawing, a very heavy waggon and the ifprce of the impact rendered him unconscious. He. was conveyed to his home- at' Inglewood and this morning was reported to lie progressing as well as could he expected. The horse was cut about the body and the motor-cycle was badly damaged. A number of accidents have been reported lately and the attention of the police should be called to the fact that a large number of drivers of carts and motors omit to light their lamps. If police prosecutions followed collisions accidents of this nature •would soon he practically a thing ol the past.
