HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE.
TITTLE BRUNE,
“Esther Redeemed,” the iirst him representation of New Zealand’s great- | stage favorite, Miss ’littcll 13rune, was the star feature of the new program;me shown at Mis Majesty’s theatre last night. The powerful performance 'of this mistress of the emotions, as she acts the part of the little girl Esther, iirst as a criminal in criminal surroundings, next as a bright and innocent girl, then reverting again to vicious ways, and iinally as the adored wife of a young man; gives a very vivid exhibition of Miss Bruno’s versatile talents. The girl Esther comes under the notice of an eminent surigeon, who iperates on her brain, and so closes her future of innocence and happiness. A very good supporting series includes the latest “Gaumont Graphic,” describing events in the war zones and showing British troops on the march. Another screeching Billy Reeves comedy “And the Parrot Said ,” combines with “Walcheren” (scenic), a’iid “Old Good-lor-Nothing” (comedy) to make a firstrate entertainment.
