A Sydney cablegram states that the Senorita has arrived from Auckland. The protracted voyage was duo to a succession of gales and heavy seas.

A Press Association message from Hastings states: “Professor” Isherwood, spiritualist and clairvoyant, who has been operating at Hastings for three months, was arrested to-day for obtaining money through false pretences by the sale of alleged medicine to a Maori. Similar charges are pending. Accused was remanded for a week, bail being fixed at, self £4OO, and two sureties of £2OO each.
