AMUSEMENTS.

HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE.

A YANKEE FROM THE WEST

“A Yankee from the West” is the title of the star picture in the new programme to be presented at His Majesty’s Theatre to-night. The film depicts American life and shows with remarkable force the difficulty of undoing a mistake made in a careless moment. A young college lad is sent West to “make good,” but he starts all wrong and gets into serious difficulties. He ; realises his responsibilities, and with fine grit breaks through the entangling harriers, “goes straight 1 ,” and wins the girl who believed in him. Many big scenes and powerful situations, as well as a delightful love story, are said to be in the film. Another picture of great, interest shows “The Rbyal ' Naval Division” of; British bluejackets. It is said to be a most inspiring spectacle when thousands of sailors march past. The Pathe Freres Co. submit a most interesting film of the “Bang Min Mines” in Japan, as well as their popular “Gazette,” and there will he a bright comedy, “Cutey’s Awakening,” by the Vitagraph Company.
