ELINOR GLYN'S "THREE .WEEKS" No picture drama previously shown in New Zealand lias been looked for? ward to with such curiosity a s has "Three Weeks" the five-part feature film which was screened at His Majesty's Theatre last night. In order to sustain interest, the plot of the book has been altered in the iilmatisation. A villain is introduced to add more of the dramatic element, but the play stjll recounts the love story of Sonia, Qtyeen of Servia, and her brief sojourn in what the author has written down as Paradise. Miss Madeline Traverse, who was selected for the part of the erring Queen, on, account of her physical beauty and artistic attainments, had a difficult task to play leading lady in this p#ssjon:vu> Slavonic romance. The mounting of ";j-Wceks" is superb, and many gorgeous scenics add an attraction to the film quite apart frojn the story. The supporting programnie includes the "War Gazette," "Mothers's Busy Day,", and a beautiful coloured picture entitled "Tiny Tim the. Magieiau."
